Monitor keeps losing signal while booting

Ok this is a very weird issue. Whenever my computer starts, some fans speed seems to be getting louder and louder and suddenly the monitor loses signal. Now this happens after i hear a clicking noise. I know for a fact that my hard disk is dying and has bad sectors, but then how can that affect the display. Is it just the hard disk? Or is it my graphics card??

My specs -
i5 2500k
8 gb corsair vengeance ram
Asus Ph867 EVO motherboard
Ati HD 4870 Graphics card
Corsaidr 750W power supply

Replace the hard drive and re-install Windows... That should be all that's wrong

Actually when i start my computer, sometimes the monitor loses the signal at the BIOS screen so i don't really think its just the hard disk
