its probably nothing but I just wanted to clear it up, all the same.

Every now and again a feint buzzing noise starts up from my Monitor, or atleast I think its my monitor. It could well be the speaker, the closer I get to that area, the louder the buzzing noise is.

edit - Apon closer inspection it seems it is the top of the monitor that the buzzing noise is coming from.

It just randomly starts up buzzing and eventually fades as time goes on. I have no other problems with the PC, and I dont know alot about viruses, but surey they cant effect the Monitor? (a seperant component from the PC basem merely an outlet I thought?).

    Help appreciated.

When it's buzzing, turn off the volume to the speakers or turn off the monitor to be sure which one it actually is.

Sounds like it may be a power transformer in the monitor. If its under warranty, I'd suggest you RMA it.
