My PC will no longer recognise the monitor for what it is. It has a native solution of 1440 * 900 and it did work fine on this.
Without me seeing any reason, it suddenly does not want to show this resolution anymore in the screen list and this problem occured out of the blue, not related to an update of XP or whatever. Is there anybody that can tell me what to do to restore this?
I need to mention that when I used the pc on it's own for a while and after that connected the monitor, it actually recognised the correct sreen for 1 session. A new start up gave me the same troubles.
I tried: updating the driver for the video card, installing the monitor (HP w19ew), rolling back drivers, nothing seems to help.
PC: Fijutsi Siemens Amilo M (Labtop/Notebook)
Video card: Intel: 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics
Windows XP Home edition (Updated up to today). Although the Norwegian version (I bought this PC when I was living Norway).
