    hi peeps

i dont have exact spec but i have 1
    gigabyte k8ne mobo
    asrock mobo
    amd 754 3600
    2 x crucial 512 ddr 400 ram
    2 x oem 1 gig platinum ram
    geforce 6600
7200 gfx cards (cant remeber exact make)

I got some high densaty ram and tried to install it onto ma k8ne mobo it beeped at me so i knew it wasnt compatable.
i inserted my old ram but nothing would turn on.
i thought i had fryd my mobo, so i purchased ma asrock mobo and some oem ram.
i set my system up with the new asrock mobo new ram adn my geforce 6600
turned on my kit adn i just get a flashing orange light on my monitor.
i tried another monitor and it was the same with that monitor.
i set my old system up with the k8ne adn the 2 sticks of 512 crucial ram it boots but no response from the monitor.
i tried both setups with my 7200 gfx card and both monitors but still no response.
i also tried the onboard gfx of the asrock mobo and that didnt work.
    Im pulling my hair out
    any help would be great

Does the this MOBO have onboard video? Did you disable the onboard video?

Make sure the pins on the monitor or back of the system is not bent. When you turn on the PC do you still hear any beeps.. Does the monitor amber light glow yellow, green, orange or blue?

If you still have the problem rebuild the system with the newest board. Be careful and make sure everything is locked into the slot for AGP.
