More power to the board to help?

  1. I am currently using an Asus Sli-deluxe motherboard with an x1800xt videocard. I already have a 6-pin connected to the videocard but theres also a spot on the motherboard for a standard 4-pin connector from the psu. (4-pin just like the hard drive power connectors) Will connecting my psu to this 4-pin plug be helpful to maximize and stablize the performance of my card or am i fine with the direct 6-pin already?

plug the 4-pin plug in, it is suppose to be there and will help every thing and yes the 6-pin needs to be plugged in.
