Having just seen it running on Arris's machine last night, I have to say this is the finest looking RPG I have ever seen. Beats Dungeon Siege I reckon.

Wonder if Neverwinter nights will stand up to the might of MW?
    :)

Well I believe that NW is MMORPG and MW is single player RPG might seperate the two from being compared too closely. If Star Wars galaxies has graphics as nice or better than MW then I am going to enjoy that even more!!!! :p

NWN isn't entirely MP. There is a single player adventure but it's true people go straight to the MP when they get it. I Wonder why ... ;)

Here's a funny thread :D -> 50 things that tell you that you play Morrowind too much

Yeah, multiplayer rpgs are fun, but I never think they stick well with storylines.... might just be my experience.
(razors edge, Legends of Mir etc), but they are fun. :)

Yeah, I forgot about Star Wars Galaxies. Looks pretty smart. Hope it doesn't take on one of the monthly charge type things like Ultima Online et al did.

I actually think that's exactly what they are shooting for. The game was co-developped by Verant ( SONY ) creators of Everquest. Companies are only jumping in MMORPGs because they see the huge amount of money that there is to be made in it.

Damnit. When will companies learn that making money isn't the point, it is our happyness. :D

At least NWN and Morrowind have single player aspects, wonder is SWG will too?

    Hehe :haha:
Although the last one seems to be a counterstrike trait ;)

Found a nice little Mansionette full of unguarded rich people near Vivec. I just couldn't help myself from slaughtering them all and stealing their money and expensive clothes and jewellery. Made myself about 1300 gold which is the most I have had so far!!! ;)
Actually forgot what class I was and found that I was using a Flame Axe that I was inept at using. Now switched to a long bladed sword which I had a major skill in. I don't seem to be swiping at the air quite so much anymore. :p

    I see you've found the Arvel plantation.:p

I don't know why but I couldn't help myself either. Maybe it was the tone they had in their voice "Make it quick Outlander !!".

    I don't like being pushed around.:D

Once you're powerfull enough, you might wanna start looking into some ruins. You can see them on the map ( they have wierd symbols instead of names ). They generally are made in red, purple rocks, have a ruinic look ( who would've thought ;) ) & are mostly guarded by kreepers.

There are lots of goodies in there. You can easilly find 30.000 worth of weapons, armors, shields, etc...

Must refrain from spending $50 dollars on a game....can't afford to stop studying for my classes....been doing so good.....must fight the force....sounds so appealing........can't fall victim to the virtual world that is Morrowind......just can't do it......please someone stop me......must not do it......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

:D Just kidding I can refrain from buying this game for now, but it does sound awesome. Maybe I'll find time after my class is over next week. :)

And no this isn't just another post count post. :D

    A little update :

I'm now at level 20 :bounce:

I've found a few parts of a Dreugh armor ( Cuirass & Helmet ) but for the rest I'm still using my Orcish armor.

    I've got a nice Dhaedric Claymore but it's way too heavy ( 80 :dead: ) & I've replaced it with the Umbra Sword ( © ;) ).

Right now, I'm roaming around Tel Fyr which has to be one of the nicest areas in the game :grinthumb

After changing motherboards/processors etc. I seem to have lost my save games. Guess I'll have to start from scratch again :(
Oh well. Got all the petty little missions to do over. At least this time I can try to refrain from killing an entire guild of fighters in one area to get glass armor ;)

Since you have to start over, might as well do it right.;)

The character creation pahse is much more important that I had first thought. Try out GameFAQs & do a search on Morrowind. I've found some very good FAQs there, including one on Character Creation alone.

There's also a tweaking FAQ but I thought it was pretty incompleye. The best Tweak Guide I've found on the net is still this one -> Morrowind Tweak Guide Thread

I haven't looked at the other FAQs ( Main Quest FAQ? Fighters Guild FAQ, etc... ) as I suspect they might contain spoilers.

Thanks for that Didou. I have Morrowind installed on my work laptop but I'm waiting for the replacement GF4Go (replacing the GF2Go that Dell sent by mistake) before settling down to playing a lot of that game while travelling for work.

Man that must be nice, I hope I can get a job where I can get a sweet laptop and play games on it when I travel.

    The American Dream...

    Mine, too...

Heheheh I can imagine it now: Alienware Area 51-M, Sennheiser HD600 headphones, and 30 spare batteries on the way to a far away land, fragging away in UT2k3...

    Yeah, sounds like me.

How many hours have you put into this game thus far?

The most I ever put into a game was about 40 and that wasn't even 1/8 of the way throught it yet. That was Pool of Radiance, and that game rocked. It sucks I had to format and lost everything, I forgot to back that up. So I never got back into it.
  19. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

I can't tell you how many hours I put into it. I stopped counting a long time ago.

If I lost my savegames, I'd simply burn the CD.;)

    Another update :

    Now at level 45 !!!

& no I didn't kill an Ordinator for that armor ;)

    I've also got the Add-On, TES3 : Tribunal.

It modifies & simplifies the Journal system & you can also notes on the local map by double-clicking but I haven't started the extra quest yet. You can start the Tribunal quest without finishing the one introduced by Morrowind but I'd rather wait anyways. Tribunal was also made for very high level players in mind so I'm really not into any rush.

PS. I'm actually the Fighter's Guild Guildmaster.
