    Definately WoW
    Halo I do have to agree with
    I think the whole WII console is basically overrated, yeah boxing is fun but most games don't really even utilize the motion controllers

    IGN.com named Bioshock 1st person shooter of the year, PC game of the year and awarded it for best story!!!

    For the Starcraft comments above. I don't think its overrated or underrated, I think its reputation is deserved. The C&C guys may not like it just because they are 'similar' type games. I have all the C&Cs (bought a few months ago at wal mart) and C&C3 is the only one that even compares (for me) to Starcraft for how fun it is.

    I played the demos for Bioshock, Crysis, and CoD4 and Crysis was much more fun to play. Bioshock seemed to have potential, and CoD4 just had an 'off' feeling to me, like something wasn't quite right. I ended up getting the full game of Crysis and beat it, and the full of CoD4 - haven't played it much. Crysis was great until the zero g level, that level and every subsequent level really dropped the ball, the earlier levels were much more fun.

    To get back to the original topic. I never saw the fun in the Halo games.

    Kserijaro, I played F.E.A.R. to the end but did not use headphones, just speakers. There was a creepy factor, that's true, but after it was over I didn't feel Wowed, so to speak. Most games I will replay to do better or to find things I overlooked the first time through or to go about it differently but this was the only highly rated game in which I didn't have the desire to do so. Don't get me wrong. It's not a bad game but just not that great to me, that's all.

    I think games that ARE overrated but ARE good l(like Battlefront 2 just one off my head) shouldn't be knocked down just because their popular. WOW is just a large RPG with numerous crash problems and real life zombies playing. Final Fantasy's are boring NOW because their are others with much better gameplay then them. All Call of Dutys suck, and BF 2142 sucks because the gameplay has deterated, basically online only, and to me the graphics look worse than the ones off of Battlefield 2. Warcraft III and Starcrafts are both gems that people today still play, they have a big community behind them that are constally releasing new maps. Freelancer is one of the few good Space Simulations/Combat today, its graphics aren't to bad either for being almost five years old. Empire at War (SW) is also pretty good if you play the galatic conquest however very few people actually play it and those that do aren't willing to learn how to play outside of the box.

    HOW COULD YOU! THE DIABLO SERIES IS ONE OF THE BEST FRANCHIZES EVER MADE! NEW STYLE OF GAME PLAY, INTERESTING DEMONS, MAYBE NOT THE BEST GRAPHICS, BUT THE STORY BEHIND IT ALL WAS SHAKESSPEAR! DIABLO FRANCHIZE IS THE BEST, SO GOOD IT COULD NEVER BE OVERRATED! (lol at the so good it could never be over rated, but this game is damn good.) HOW DO YOU SAY THOUGHS WORD! YOU ARE A EVIL PERSON CORRUPTED IN THE SOUL!!!!:evil:

    The halo series is great, but all that hype did it in. People expected far more than bungie could provide.

    Just a couple:

    Overrated:
    WOW

    Underrated:
    Deus Ex: Invisible War

    deus ex has to be one of the best FPS's out there. It's a 'smart' shooter, not straight foward, there's many different ways to play the game and so many different strategies.

    IMO: The only reason is Underrated is because it had the reputation of the orignal Deus Ex to live up to. I mean If you forget that its a sequel to Deus Ex, its really good game. Then you remember its a sequel and remember the original and suddenly its not that good. (just my opinion people)

    But then there are those who think that Deus Ex is overrated, I just cant comprehend such thoughts.

    I now have to add a little game called "Nox" to my underrated. Because it is a whole lot like Diablo, and came out at approximately the same time, a lot of people don't know about it. It is fun, has a great storyline (3, actually), and is very, very fun.
