Moving OS to another HDD

I am formatting one of my HDD's(A) as type this,I have windows 7 on the other HDD(B) but wish to put it on the one I am formatting(A) and need to know if this is OK as I will be formating the other HDD(B) as soon as I get it installed on HDD(A). I have win7 upgrade which I used to upgrade vista.

you can use Acronis True Image WD Edition Software to transfer the OS from one HDD to the other without the need to reinstall windows

I have windows 7 ultimate retail so i have never tried to do an fresh install with upgrade without having to install vista first. Here is a guide on how to Clean Install Windows 7 With Upgrade Media
