Moving to Korea...What should I do while I'm there?

I'm going to be living/working about an hour from Seoul, South Korea. I'm sure I'll be consuming copious amounts of soju, but getting drunk is fun for only so long. I'm not going to own a car over there, but I still plan on doing some sight-seeing. Any suggestions? I'm happily married and want to remain so, so the red-light districts are out of the question. Any Korean delicacies or souvenirs you would say are a 'must have?' I'm looking for a few things to bring back for my wife and kids...

I stopped reading after "happily married."

    korean war

Check out some sites from the Korean War. You could go see where several battles were fought.

Good Idea...I'll have to check what memorials are open to the public. I'm going to have limited transportation, so I'll have to do all my sight-seeing in one part of the country.

    Anyone like Kimchi?
