Can anybody point me in the right direction as to how I can transfer my current XP system with all the installed programs, etc. that is on my 200gb hard drive to a 160gb hard drive. I will still be using my same motherboard; only my hard drive will change. My 200 gig is going to crash one of these days and i have quite a bit of programs however I am not in the mood to reinstall. Thanx.

    You image it

I use symantec Ghost (licenced software) but you should backup first (as it is easily possible to put the HardDrives the wrong way around).

By the way, the new HardDrive must have enough space to hold all your used files (seeming you're going from 200 to 160 , thought I'd mention that)

Doesn't MaxBlast do this for you? I believe that is what I used about 4 years ago and it was 14524 times easier than any ghosting/cloning program I've used.
