Is there an Mp3 player for linux that doesn't need root access? Oh yes and is free.

xmms - rhythmbox - you can always install into your home directory.

I'd say all the MP3 players work under normal user accounts. It would be very silly if they didn't..

The package management system does want you to be root, but as LNCPapa said, you can always install programs manually to your home directory.

EDIT: now how do i get rhythmbox mp3 support to work?
