I'm having a issue that when Access closes, it is creating a new copy or a backup copy of the database.

turn it off in the options menu.

I have come to the conclusion that the database is corrupt. The same one has been used over and over for about a year. So, I have created a new one from scratch, I'll see how it goes.

before you scrap it completely, try recuva to extract lost files.
