MSI P35 Neo2 Help!

I just purchased a new MSI P35 Neo 2 mb , i transferred all my other existing components onto the new mb and set it up. However, when i turned it on, after a few seconds, it would simply restart. The indicator LEDs change from saying that the processor is damaged or not installed correctly to the RAM is damaged or not installed correctly. Please could someone help me, I'm kinda new at this.

I have:

Intel core 2 duo 6300 1.86 GHz
1 GB of RAM
Radeon X1650 series graphics card
Sorry but I dont know what power supply
Do you need to know anything else? sorry!

sorry i forgot to mention that my current board is the MS-7255
and my memory is DDR2 Regular UDIMM PC4300

Take your time and make sure that everything is seated entirely. Remove all of the components (especially your CPU) and seat them again, slowly.

Your RAM might not be compatible with your new motherboard on some level beyond the base specifications. Try purchasing RAM that is tested and known to work with your motherboard.

k thanx i tried doing it slowly and im sure its in the right way-seeing as there is only one way.
