Multimedia audio controller problem

  1. I had to change my harddrive and now my audio won't work. It says the multimedia audio controller driver can't be found. I downloaded the driver from Realtek and it caused my computer to go to blue screen and wouldn't work unless I was in safe mode. Does anyone know how I can get the driver without it causes major problems? Thanks Lori

What did you install on the new hard drive, before you installed the RealTek... Realtek has a version of the drivers that works with nearly all computers.

The hardrive came out of my old tower. So I didn't install anything on it.

Installing the sound card will work it out.
