I read about this yesterday. This is a big exploit and needs to be fixed. Too bad there are too many newbies that wont know how to update the firmware or arent even aware of this issue.
Fortunately, this is NOT a dominant player in the home user market. If I recall correctly, Linksys was purchased by Cisco - - and recently - - RESOLD (too much effort to support non-commercial users).
I feel like Belkin would get good use out of Linksys.
My linksys e3000 was bricked last week. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. My firmware is corrupted. I haven't had the time to try to unbrick it yet
