I bought an 16 GB HP flash memory the other day it called (v165w)

i wanted to copy my MP3 folder to, it's about (8 GB) i started copying it and it said going to take 25 minute, so i let it copying and went to sleep. I woke up the next day and there was an error and the folder stoped copying half way, i tried to delete the folder and it just says (it's write-protected) i tried adding to it, it says the same thing it's write protected, when i tried to format it, it said its write protected.

I tried every way to format it non of them worked, I spent the whole day yesterday trying to format it but couldn't.

here is what I tried so far:
- formating from disk managment (device media is write protected)
- format in safe mode (no difference)
- removing write protection from the registry StorageDevicePolicies (didn't work)
- used HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (write protected)
- used Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool (Kept saying error for 24 hour)
- and a couple more tools couldn't even find the device.

I viewed every page in this forum and google tried them all and nothing worked.

I spent 60 dollars on the stick.

Before the mods close your thread, tell us what you found out???

Did you solve your problem? or was it a "non-" problem?

Curious minds would like to know:)
