My computer crashes every time I start it within 5 minuites

My computer crashes everytime i start it withing 5 minuites,It does not re-boot or go to blue screen to restart.It crashes and everything freezes on the screen.Ive tried using ctrl-alt-del but nothing happens.This means that everytime it happens i have to hold the power button for several seconds to switch off and then switch back on then the same happens again.The only way it works is if i switch it to safe mode.but this limits what i can do on my computer.
Does anyone have a clue how i could resolve this nightmare of a problem?

We could do with some details of the computer, make and model number and the version of Windows.

If this is a desktop PC are you using a graphics card and does the motherboard have onboard graphics i.e. is there another graphics output at the back of the tower.

its a laptop."hp g56 notebook pc if that helps?

Ok, and you missed a bit, what version of windows?

Do you have any recovery discs or a copy of your version of Windows.
