My Computer opens on boot up

What do you mean? When you turn it on it starts, or it turns on completely by itselft?

check your start-programs-startup
all files in here run automatically when pc starts, u may have a shortcut here

By "opens a window" what do you mean? A program, File explorer, IE, porn, etc.
What "window"?

He means that "My Computer" with all the drives and stuff started up automatically. I have to admit it did look kinda humorous at first; it really helps us to help you if you provide adequate information in your initial post.

I don't know why it starts up automatically, but it doesn't seem that it would be much of a problem.
 
I did say my computer you know the desk top icon ... I didnt realize i had to be so specific when asking such a simple question ...
 
cogsy: Take a look at this possible solution HERE.

It`s normally used to stop the My Documents folder from opening on startup, but should also work for My Computer. Let us know if it helps.
