I am having problems with Windows is general. I seem to be able to play video games without a single problem (if I started the game within a few minutes of boot) for hours on end. However, when I try to surf the web and do homework and use Office my computers slows down a freezes constantly. I am using Spydoctor for my anti-virus and I also use a program that "cleans" my registry. (Trust me, it really helps but still suffers.) I am completely confused on this subject and I am willing to hear anybody's opinion on what it may be.

Thanks in advance.

Well first, correct me if I am wrong but, Spyware Doctor isn't an antivirus software, is it? I am also curious as to the program that "cleans" the registry. What program is it?

I'd head over to the technical folks in the Virus cleanup forums and do the steps they have posted there. I'm guessing you are infected with something.
