My keyboard and mouse don't work any more

I recently got this pc, we tried installing windows but it didn't work, so we took another hard drive with windows 8 on it and it worked but now I can't use the keyboard and mouse at the desktop

Windows install is probably needed for this to work right. The install fits to your system. The hard drive you are using was fit to another system. See: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001838.htm
