My laptop does not turn on

    Hello everybody,

    I am having a problem with my Gateway Laptop. Today I wanted to switch it on and it looked like it would work but it stayed processing and never went into Windows. So, I turned it off with the start-botton and then tried to turn it on again. The computer did not respond at all. The light of the battery is working perfectly so I assume it´s got nothing to do with the battery. Could somebody please give any tips of how to solve this problem? At the moment I am in Germany and don´t have the guarantee with me.

    Remove the battery and the AC adapter. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds then re-attach the AC adapter and try powering on the laptop
