My laptop does not work

    Im at work now so i dont have the specifics but i have a compaq laptop and when i turn it on it gets to the password screen i enter my password and hit enter and then the screen goes black i can still move the mouse but i cant do anything not even CTRL ALT DELETE it says it was disabled any one know whats going on about a month before this all my icons dissapeared

    Try removing the hard drive, and put it off to the side. Install another hard drive and try installing Windows on it. If it works, you may be able to recover some files off the old drive using an external USB hard drive enclosure
