Inactive My laptop is infected

I am receiving e-mails with a password stored on my laptop in the subject line. I also suspect that my e-mail account is being used to send spam mail. I would very much appreciate your help with removing any malware that has been installed.

I tried to download and run Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST), but I cannot run that on my MacBook. What should I do instead? I hope you can still help.
