My laptop monitor goes white

    i bought my laptop about 6 moths ago, its sony, Vaio

    and suddenly my monitor goes white and if i adjust the monitor it sometimes comes

    back to normal

    but i usually have to restart the laptop

    can anyone tell me what the problem is?

    and if i need to replace the LCD monitor can you tell me how much it will cost?

    The video chip on the motherboard mite be overheating, or the LCD display is failing

    This is a laptop srn3o,
    No warranty available? If you plug in an external monitor and it works, the LCD display could be bad, but there still is a chance that the motherboard is bad too. If you shine a flashlight on the LCD screen, can you see anything on the screen?

    Loose cable for the display? Mine's come out cause I was being a little too rough with it.
