My new monitor has a yellow tint

My family just bought a new HP S2031 LCD monitor. I wasn't the one who hooked it up, but the first time I used it after it was hooked up, the screen was tinted yellow, and I assume it has been since it was hooked up.

I tried going to color settings and changing the default to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (as I was advised on another site), but that didn't change anything.

I also tried to calibrate the colors, but there didn't seem to be any setting that removed the yellow tint.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Check both ends of the cable for bent pins. it could also be a bad cable that has a broken wire.

Hooked up through VGA or DVI?

    It's VGA.

None of the pins appear bent and we tried the cable from the old monitor. The screen is still tinted yellow with the other cable.
