I'm making a project for my brother and I've chosen Access to do it, since I made mine in it. I've done some of it but I'm stuck at this part. I'm trying to use the DateAdd function to add a month to a date field, but I keep getting this error. It also happens when I try to add a month to any date i.e.
=DateAdd([m],1,9/3/2001)
and
=DateAdd([m],1,[Last Date of Fee Payment])
return the same error. Last Date of Fee Payment is a separate date field in a table.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

It appears you are using the command for an earlier version of Access. Look at the knowledge base for Microsoft Office 2007. We have found a number of such little changes in 2007.
Also, be sure you have all the updates, and the download that allows Office 2007 to work with earlier versions.

Thanks raybay, I found the culprit. Apparently all I have to do is put double quotes around m instead of the square brackets. That fixed it. Thanks again for your help.
