    Hi All

I just joined Techspot. Lot of interesting topics!!

My Laptop crashed last evening, i was trying to repair windows xp, but not able to repair it, i was successfull upto the read and accept the windows xp Liscensing agreement.

When i hit F8 to confirm, it takes me to the next screen, where it states select the windows XP installation to repair. In there i dont get the C:\WINDOWS "Microsoft Windows XP Professional"

Instead of that i get all the partitions(which treats as a new installation).

Can anyone please suggest a way to repair my windows xp, i have got lot of data stored in the hard disk so still looking for options to repair rather than to reformat.

    Suggestions will reali help.

    Cheers
