My CPU cooler just died so I’m looking for a new one, the one I had came with the CPU when I bought it. It’s an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 6000+ Socket AM2.
I seem to have trouble finding a doable cooler though, mostly because I don’t know enough about the subject I think, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of coolers out there anymore for AM2 either. So far the closest thing to something useful I’ve been able to find was

Another website mentions “AMD: Socket AM2 Athlon 64 X2 (Dual Core)~ 5200+” under this coolers compatibility.

Do you think I can use this fan or should I look for something else and in that case does anyone have any suggestions?

There are quite a few AM2 HSFs still available. But you must specify your budget and also determine whether your case will house those that are available.

Check out this page.
