Need help in designing Icons!!!

  1. Hello guys!!!
    I am making an software interface which requires a lot of buttons!!
    I googled and found http://www.virtuallnk.com where i saw these icons:

    These are very good and the site has a lot of them!!
    I wanna know that by which software i will be able to create them?
    I tried them in photoshop but never got that glossy look!!
    If there is a software avaliable for it then what is it and can you recommend any tutorial for it??
    I know photoshop and bit of flash.

    thank you very much man!!!
    but wat if i wannto design images in the same way?? i.e bigger images but same 3D and glossy look??
    this software is just for icons!!

    Use photoshop to make those images with some rendering, 3d and lighting effects etc then use samstoned's program to create them into icons..

    I think you should be able to do it all (the 3d/gloss stuff) in photoshop.. read up on some guides and tutorials..

    what version of photoshop do you have?

    its CS2 man!! tried but i am not pro in it, so they dont look that good.

    Well for starters there's a great wealth of info in the Adobe forums (sorry, forgot the link at the moment) and also have a google for Photoshop CS2 tutorials or something..
