Inactive Need help removing rootkit in System32\Drivers\dfsc.sys

Hello,

My system has been infected with a rootkit which I have been researching how to remove. Some of the steps are over my head, and I don't want to mess up my machine. Can someone help me through the process? Thanks!

We need to get some information first: The DFS Namespace Client Driver from Microsoft Corporation. What happened or message did you get that this had a rootkit? Are you having any particular system problems that you think may be due to malware?

Please follow these steps: Preliminary Virus and Malware Removal.

NOTE: If you already have any of the scanning programs on the computer, please remove them and download the versions in these links.

When you have finished, leave the logs for review in your next reply .
