I need help with choosing a graphics card.

My specifications are:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 240 at 2.8 GHz
MB Brand : MSI
MB Model : 785GM-E51 (MS-7596)
GPU: Radeon HD 4200 integrated
RAM : 4096 MB DDR3 Dual Channel at 535.8 MHz

I was thinking about getting the ZOTAC GTX 550 TI AMP card.

I am hopefully getting the Corsair CX 500.

I intend to play at 1920 x 1080 and play games like assassin's creed brotherhood and AC 2.

Now, my question is with the Corsair CX 500 what video card would be good with it? Will the GTX 550 TI be good enough or is there better alternative.

No, don't get the GTX 550, it performs worse than the GTS 450 most of the time and cost even more than the GTX 460 768mb.

If I were you, I'd try to find a GTX 460 768mb (or 1gb if you're running a 1080p monitor) for as cheap as possible and then overclock it. Any more and your CPU will bottleneck the GPU.
