Need Help With Cloning

Ok.. I have an OLD, and probably worst model Dell tower they ever made. Dimension 8250. It does not support USB boot up ect. I have a newer Dell Optiplex GX520 a friend gave me.

Simply, I need to clone my Dimension to my new Optiplex. The problem is that I have no way to move the clone image to the new computer. The HDD are not compatible, not enough space on CD etc. I do have a 160GB USB External HDD I was hoping to use, but don't know how, or can't use it with the Dimension 8250... Any Ideas?

I'd plug the external USB drive into the computer as a secondary harddrive (if the USB external box can be opened - most are Sata drives inside; but you may need an adapter)
