Hey i got 2 computer i am trying to connect to one monitor the problem I am having is that one computer is a compaq which has the mouse & keyboard connections on the back, but the other computer is a dell which does not have the mouse & keyboard ports on the back it uses a usb for the mouse & keyboard. The KVM switch I have needs the connection for the mouse & keyboard it does not support the usb is there a way to get it working or is there a different switch I can use. Also I have tried to use the usb to ps2 but it still does not work.

I suppose you could try going the other way and use a switch that uses USB. Both PCs will be connected to the switch by USB cables and you would be using the Dell USB keyboard and mouse for the console end.

That solution will leave you with your present KVM switch doing nothing.
