I'll get the 9600GT for now, its like 80 bucks cheaper and I'll be using it for only 2 months. Thanx for the info.

Well, in newegg at least, there doesn't seem to be a 9600GT for as low as $65. You may also look into the HD4830.

I am buying local, the price is quite attractive. I don't see hd4830 anywhere here. :(

on newegg you can get the 4850 for like 89.99 so why not buy online? and i would use a different PSU especially if your going to get a 5850 later this year i wouldnt even trust a budget card to that psu.

Nope, no shipping to my country.:(

    What do you mean?

I will get another PSU later, I don't wanna go out of budget. :D

Topower is a decent PSU brand; not too shabby IMO. But the PSU is of fairly older spec, and has a relatively weak +12V rail (~32A) compared to most other 600W PSUs. Should still be plenty for a 9600GT though.

Speaking of which, the 9600GT will be perfect; the extra power of the HD 4850 (and more powerful cards) will be utterly wasted at 1280x1024. You should be able to play anything maxed out at that resolution.

    Finally Satisfied ;)

    Hey,

Sorry for the late reply, I finally upgraded 2 weeks ago. Look at my specs.

I have another question. It is about my old computer. I thought I could use it for my college stuff, I wanted to change the memory and CPU. But, I cannot decide what to go for. I thought of replacing the CPU with a pentium D or something and replacing the RAM with a 2GB kit. The mobo is Gigabyte GA-81915PL-G, CPU is pentium 4 3GHz and RAM is 1GB PC-3200 . I installed 7 on it and its quite laggy. I dont want to spend too much on it though. Any ideas?

    cheers
