Using Windows XP and need a way to actually protect my password so that no one can bypass. Normally starting in safemode you can bypass - does anyone know a different way to set up my system so that it cannot be backdoored? Or how to set it to start up in DOS and change perameters so that I can change the win command?

Any help will be appreciated.

Go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management, Then in the new window, select Local Users and Groups and set an administrator password.

Well no matter what, anyone can break through password protection with boot up software such as ERD Commander, but it will stop anyone from getting into safemode and changing settings without your password from both your user name and administrator.
