Need some help with XP with PDF

  1. I have been having this nagging problem that when ever I want to down load anything that is in the PDF format, it always brings up turbo tax instead. I have tried to do a search for that file, and it can't find it. Just what did I do to make it act up this way? Now, if I go to a different profile, say like my wife's, it uploads just fine. It has to do with something in my profile, but I can't figure it out. Anything that is sent in a PDF, will always bring up that turbo tax program in my profile. This is on my email. I forgot to say that.

Your file associations are messed up. I'll assume you're using Windows XP (other o/s versions should be similar.)
Open "My Computer", under the 'tools' menu, select 'folder options' then 'file types' .
Search for the PDF extension and choose the appropriate program to open with.
(Adobe Reader, Foxit Reader, whatever you may have.
Let me know if this helps :)
