My current specs...

CPU: P4 2.6c
MOBO: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe
RAM: OCZ 512MB [2x256] Dual Channel Kit ... OCZ400512ELDC-K [rated @ 2-2-3-6] [slots 1 and 3] [PC3200 DDR400]
HDD1: MAXTOR S-ATA 120GB w/8MB Cache
HDD2: MAXTOR S-ATA 300GB w/16MB Cache

I was thinking of adding the OCZ 1024MB [2x512] Dual Channel Kit ... OCZ4001024ELDC-K [rated @ 2-2-3-6] [slots 2 and 4] [PC3200 DDR400].

Some told me it would be ok to do so since all modules are same performance/type. While others, including OCZ themselves, recommended not to, mainly due to some stability issues resulting from having more than 2 high performance modules installed.

I may end up trying all four slots as stated above and see how it goes, if there is problems would probably just take out the original 512 kit and try to sell it leaving me with just the 1024 kit.

Would like some input from the experts here and hopefully learn what my best options are in terms of improving performance.

Cheers!

p.s. No plans for overclocking as of yet, stock cooling all around :D
