Need to put a new keyboard on Acer laptop

    I got a new Acer laptop, someone spilled coffee on it and took to my computer tech said motherboard not affected but need new keyboard, I bought it he said just snap it in and it should work, I did, it's not working, is there something I am missing????

    Did you notice any liquid damage to the ribbon connector? Also make sure it's in all the way, you should barely be able to see the ribbon cables contact points when it's in all the way.
