    They need new content. Can you imagine a Netflixs for $19.99 a month that had unlimited current movies..Ok they could make them 1 month after coming out on DVD or something and it would make a killing. I think until they can offer a service like that people will go elsewhere and not where they want them to go. Current movie rental prices (download) are to high. Current offerings on netflixs are ok but very dated.

    There's good and bad to this... the bad is these companies are working toward a reason to lock you into them, because you'll only be able to see certain content with that company. Then once they have you they can start jacking up prices. Then we'll all be in the same boat as we were 5 years ago with overpaying for services.
