Network in Vista

  1. Hi, I have a problem with the network in vista. There are 8 pcs in my office. One of the pcs went down and we decided to buy a new one with vista and upgrade 4 of the others 2 vista. The problem is trying to share the folders on each computers but no matter how many times i share, the folders cannot be opened.
    I am using the windows network that comes with the computer. In xp it was easies with the home and small networks.
    PLEASE HELP im at my wits end.

    With regards to your problem, first, make sure that all the PCs are in the same workgroup and chekc the sharing settings in the Network and sharing centre.

    When you say, "cannot be opend" you mean you don't have permissions?

    If thats the case read my post in this topic:

    It explains how to set the correct permissions for XP, it's almost the same as in Vista :)
