New Asus laptop does weird stuff

    I have a new asus laptop with windows 7, when typing it does wierd things,like just know the cursor jumped back and had me typing part way back in my sentence,when i was logging in it jumped from one box to the next will i was typing for no apparent reason.What is going on?

    if its just the cursor, you may accidentally be touching the trackpad.

    Thats what I do all the time; but i never thought of it being 'weird' ;).
    Having said that, the only thing I've liked about my DV5 so far is ....... i can turn on or off touch pad at any time :D

    maybe I am touching the pad accidentally not realizing but it is annoying if your typing and all of a sudden your 5 words back in your sentence and changing what was all ready written

    It is very annoying i can understand that. May be you could turn off the touchpad while you type as well, just check for its features/manuals etc.
