New HDD installing OS 'a CD/DVD device driver is missing'

    Hi all

    Have a packard bell pc, the old HDD is knacked, so went to install new one, the dvd loads the vista installation screen but when I click install it shows:

    "A required CD\DVD device driver is missing" followed by various options, all of which I have tried in some form or another.

    Having visited many forums, there seems to be a conflict with the sata driver, I have tried to change from RAID to anything to no avail.

    Any further information required please ask
