New HP - Cannot connect to wifi

  1. I just bought a new laptop today. HP m6-1225dr, running, unfortunately, Windows 8

I cannot to connect to wifi. Eventually, not sure how I finally got it to work since it wasn't at first, I can connect when the ethernet cable is plugged into the router. I called HP and they kept telling me to call comcast, even though NOTHING is showing up.

It says "wi-fi no networks found" - not sure what else to do. I'm in control panel and when I try to manually connect it says an unexpected error occurred.

I downloaded, from my other computer, network drivers I found on the hp website, which is why I think I was able to connect with the ethernet.

    Please help. Thanks!

Can you put what you did to get it to work for any other people who may be experiencing the same problem... thanks
