Targeted at feature-laden mobile handsets, Micron Technology Inc. has announced sample availability of a 128 Megabit (Mb) burst CellularRAM device incorporating a version 1.5 feature set.

The memory has special design features which help it to minimizes standby and active current levels to achieve low power and high bandwidth. PSRAM is expected to replace SRAM as the memory standard for handsets.
