New PC but monitor won't turn on

  1. Hello I just bought a new cyberpower pc and after I plugged everything in and what not the monitor wouldn't come on. All the fans, hard drive, keyboard works except the monitor. Anyone have any ideas why? Very frustrated. I did use an adapter to connect my monitor wire to my graphics card because otherwise it wouldn't work.

Does it have a video card on it? If so make sure your plugging your monitor into the video card input rather then the onboard video port on the motherboard. Happends to me so I thought I'd suggest. If the monitor works on the computer's then I'd say motherboard/video card issues or just not plugged into the right spot. Hope it helps
