Hi Everyone, this is my first post here and I look forward to being a regular here :)

I just completed my rig build:

Mobo: Asus Crossair
CPU: Athlon 6400 (non black edition) x2 (stock AMD heatsink / fan)
PSU: Antec Neo 650
Video Card: BFG Geforce 8800 gts 512 mb
Ram Memory: Crucial Ballistix: 2 Gb kit- DDR2 6400
Hdd: Western Digital Raptor 150 Gb
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-fi platinum fatality
Optic Drive: Write Master 18X DVD/RW-SCRIBE
Case / Chasis: COOLER MASTER Centurion 5

I love the speed of this PC even without oc'ing, ...The only problem is over heating after about an hour plus of COD4...Other than that, this rig makes quick time of simple desktop tasks... I just ordered a Zalman 9700 NT case fan and I am hopeful this will do the trick and maybe than I will experiment with oc'ing... I sure hope it will fit my case...

So like I was saying, COD4 after an hour plus has my mobo throwing 149 F temp warning codes and I know I can change the temp setting alarm in the mobo but Im unsure about how hot these 6400's are allowed to get, much less what is safe..
It does sound a bit crazy to me that a 125 watt CPU would melt at 150 F

I welcome all comments and suggestions..

Thanking you in advance :)

"(stock AMD heatsink / fan)"...

This may be your problem. Spend a little more on a quality 3rd party CPU HSF... I'm sure doing so will help
