Whats resolutions do you plan to play at?
    What games?
Whats your budget for the upgrade?

7970's just had a price cut, they're pretty much have the same performance/price ratio as the 680 now.

but if i put a 7970, it will be enough to play bf 3 on max resolution?

Max resolution depends on what monitor or monitors you have? Like my Max is 1920X1080p
Yes the 7970 will allow you play the game on max settings.

Well on full ultra on BF3 at 1080p I get about 55fps avg/45fps min on the large multiplayer maps.
Tone down to 2x MSAA and it's pretty much 60fps min.
