    Hi

I am new to gaming, semi retired engineer. I want to get into flight simulator Falcon 4.0. I have no clue as to what stuff my computer needs, can anyone lend a hand. Not sure if this the write place to ask

Not exactly sure what you're asking, and there are two released versions of "Falcon 4.0". A 1998 release titled "Falcon 4.0" and a 2005 released titled "Falcon 4.0: Allied Force".

Below is a list of recommended hardware specifications for each (you'll want to meet these or better):

    "Falcon 4.0"

    CPU: Pentium II 266
    RAM: 64MB
    HDD: 400MB free
    -----------------------------------------
    "Falcon 4.0: Allied Force"

    CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
    Video Memory: 128MB
    HDD: 1536MB free
    Other: Joystick, Broadband Internet

    Thanks Zeno

Thank you for the info. It looks like I will need to do a significant upgrade, only running Pent 3, 797 Mhz, 512 MB Ram. Say, how do I check what video card I have, I did upgrade to run some 3D engineering software.

    Thank you once again

Click Start > Run > devmgmt.msc > Ok. You should have the Device Manager sitting in front of you now, click the + next to Display Adapters and it should tell you what video card you have. If not, check out something like Everest.
