No audio VGX-TP3Z

When I play a disc with a film on in my Sony VGX-TP3Z desk top I can only get the picture with no sound. Can anybody help me with some Ideas to get the sound back. The audio is okay for the rest of the functions of the computer

Problems like this usually can be 'cured' by installing a more modern set of codecs than you may have installed. If all your normal windows system sounds work, then it proves that your sound card is ok.

You didn't say which version of Windows you are using, but this one seems to support all versions, so should be effective for your pc.
