  1. Hello,

My precision manufacturing class just got 24 new dell dimension computers, and they all came with small dell 14" monitors. One of them suddenly does not display anything on screen, the computer itself powers up just fine, but nothing on screen. We tried another monitor, but still nothing.
    Here's the specs:
    AMD athalon 64X2's (unknown speed)
    1 gig ram
128mb Nvidia integrated video card (unknown type)
    120 gig SATA hard drive
    DVD-rom/cd-rw cd drive

All the computers have access to high speed internet, so maybe a virus got on it? I think it might be the video card, but what would make a video card on a 2 month old computer suddenly go?

My teacher is panicing because each of these computers have a 10,000 dollar program on them, and the cd can be used once.

Return the computer to Dell for a replacement... I'm sure your teacher knows how to do this
